Despite a slow start to the state's snowy season this year, Thursday's winter storm has put Utah ski resorts back on course and allowed them to open additional lifts. Several Utah ski resorts say the 10 inches or more of snow will make a big difference. Brighton Ski Resort spokesman Jared Winkler says 17 inches of new snow allowed the resort to run open all of its ski lifts Friday.
