LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas woman is due in court today on felony drunken driving charges after she was accused of driving a car that killed one pedestrian and critically injured another on a sidewalk near two elementary schools. Police say Nicole Johnson failed field sobriety tests after her car veered off a road and hit the man and woman in their 70s. The man died and the woman is critically hurt.

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) — A Belgian couple wanted for allegedly stealing luggage from the Las Vegas Airport for more than a year has been captured in Arizona. Lake Havasu City police say Kristof De Smet and Sandy De Backer are being held on possession of stolen property and fugitive from justice warrants. Investigators say the couple flew into Las Vegas from Belgium three times in the last 18 months. They say the suspects stole other airline customers' bags each trip.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A former administrator who pleaded guilty to embezzling large sums of money from the Clark County School District no longer has a teacher's license. The Nevada Board of Education yesterday revoked the license of 68-year-old Priscilla Rocha. She is serving 4-10 years in prison.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The debt-heavy subsidiary of casino giant Caesars Entertainment Corp. is again asking a federal court to give it more time to file its bankruptcy plan to get out from under $10 billion of its $18.4 billion in debt. Lawyers for Caesars Entertainment Operating Co. filed a motion this week in a Chicago bankruptcy court to move the deadline from Nov. 15 to March 15.
