MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (AP) — A small fire at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant has been extinguished and officials say there's no danger to the public.

The fire happened shortly before 10 p.m. Monday. Exelon Nuclear, which operates the facility in Middletown Borough in central Pennsylvania, tweeted that it was extinguished quickly and that the plant was operating fully within minutes.

Middletown Borough posted information from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency on its Facebook page. The agency says an electrical fire occurred in a secondary area of the plant.

An emergency management spokesman says at no time was there any danger of radiation being released.
