LAS VEGAS (AP) — Wynn Las Vegas says its resident DJ Avicii (ah-VEE-chee) is cancelling the remainder of his shows at XS and Encore Beach Club this year to take a break.
The resort-casino on the Las Vegas Strip announced Wednesday that DJs Diplo, Skrillex, Dillon Francis and Zedd would replace Avicii at six scheduled shows in September and October. Ticket-holders can attend those shows or seek a refund through wantickets.com.
Wynn Las Vegas whose longtime nightclub director Jesse Waits recently left for a new hotel-casino project across the street says Avicii will return in 2016.
Avicii says in a statement he's taking the break after a busy festival, tour and album production schedule. The DJ is also cancelling appearances in China and Japan but says he plans a larger tour next year.
