WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will host European Council President Donald Tusk at the White House next month.
The White House says the two will review a range of issues, including Ukraine, Russia, a pending trade deal between the U.S. and European countries, economic growth, energy security, climate change and countering violent extremism and terrorism.
Tusk's visit is scheduled for March 9.
The European Council sets the policy agenda for the 28-member European Union.
The White House says the E.U. is a valued partner of the United States and that Obama looks forward to consulting with Tusk.
