Utahns will be among the Red Cross volunteers helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
This is going to be one of the biggest call outs ever done by the Red Cross. At the local chapter they've been calling people, asking if they would go to help, and letting them know it's going to be a lot of work.
Keith Keyser, Red Cross of Greater Salt Lake: "It is not an easy job for these volunteers. They are down there in a very difficult situation, but they are doing something they feel good about. It's really helping a lot of people."
Three people from Utah have already gone to the storm zone and more than 35 others are expected to go in the next few days. They will take with them food, clothing and other supplies needed.
Keith Keyser, Red Cross of Greater Salt Lake: "We'll have a couple of drivers and couple of people there, and a couple people back here. And then we've got a window over there that you can serve food or supplies out of, depending what's needed."
The Red Cross does not need any supplies donated, but says they always appreciate monetary donations to help in the relief efforts.
