SALT LAKE CITY -- Signs of economic recovery are being seen at Salt Lake International Airport. Even in off hours, airport administrators say it's definitely busier.
Numbers show that since June of 2009, passenger traffic has gone up every month.
"It's a positive trend, and that's what's important to look at. The economy is obviously the main factor there," says airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann.
Gann says the increase in travelers is fueling optimism for 2010.
"We are already showing signs, early on in January, that we're trending upward again," Gann says.
Another optimistic sign: Salt Lake City kept its nonstop Paris flight through the downturn. Gann says the nonstop Tokyo flight is coming back on line in May.
