Was the soccer mom... overdosed on anti-depressants or some other non-perscription drug?

Perhaps we could get a few more details on the accident? Like if for instance the van went to turn left on a yellow light, and the other driver sped up to make the light, or what?!?

Doesn't matter. @Phatty - Even if that were the case, the van would still be liable. The left turning vehicle MUST ALWAYS yield to oncoming traffic, it's the law. Even if the light has turned red.

Know your city @Phatty - Maybe you should drive around a little prior to posting comments. If you knew a little about 700 East (a main No. So. hwy)you would know that there are no light between 2700 South and 3300 South. Maybe a scanner from Radio Shack, then you would have the upto the minute details

I drove past this... @Phatty - Where the van went to turn, there is no turn light. Just a dangerous left turn across 700 east during morning rush hour traffic.

I take it you are speaking from experience with those anti-depressants etc.

How many kids had seatbelts on? Maybe that is another citation that the driver of the van needs...

Shocking..... a traffic accident in Salt Lake......How does that happen?! It must be Armageddon, it's the end of the world, run for your lives!!!!!!! Just think, at some point in the future, the driver of that van will be teaching one of his or her kids how to drive. Just another example of why you should have to take a driving test every 7 years! Not just the written one either, full on instructor in the car must use yor turn signals and come to a complete stop driving test.
