OGDEN -- A mother and grandmother face criminal charges for bringing children along to drug deals.
According to the Standard-Examiner, Chambrelee Young Christensen, 24, was arrested three times for selling methamphetamine to undercover narcotics agents.
She's accused of selling meth Aug. 19 near Central Middle School, then Aug. 20 and Aug. 28 near the LDS Ogden Temple. She was arrested Tuesday and is charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance and one count of child endangerment. One of the charges was enhanced to a first-degree felony because the alleged crime happened near a school or church.
Police say Denise Clontz, 49, accompanied Christensen and the children during one of the incidents. She faces one felony count of distribution of a controlled substance, another felony count for child endangerment and two misdemeanor charges of interfering with arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The paper reports police searched the family's home on the 800 block of 25th Street on Oct. 23 and found drug paraphernalia within reach of the children.
Information about the children was not provided.
