SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah state courts will start accepting civil case filings electronically in the 2nd District on Monday.
Three other districts -- the 3rd, 4th and 5th -- will start accepting e-Filing in civil cases between January and March of next year.
E-Filing is available for general civil case types but doesn't include domestic relations, small claims and probate case types.
The system allows documents to be filed electronically and provides courtesy notifications to attorneys as events occur in a case.
An Electronic Filing Guide that includes requirements for e-Filing is available on the court's website at www.utcourts.gov/efiling.
