(KSL News) A Salt Lake business suffered damage due to fire, today.
The owner of a custom auto restoration shop at 1860 S. 990 West noticed a light haze of smoke when he went to work this morning.
Firefighters responded and discovered a fire in the attic. They knocked it out quickly.
The cause is still under investigation, but fire bosses issued this warning.
Dennis McKone/ Asst. Fire Chief, Salt Lake City Fire Dept.: "The extreme cold we're having has our furnace, our heaters, everything working overtime."
"Everyone has got to be more cautious this time of year and pay a little more attention to the extreme cold and our furnaces, and keep a close eye on it."
The damage is contained to the attic. Fire officials estimate it'll cost about 25-thousand dollars to fix.
