ATV riders hope to become world record holders
September 17th, 2009 @ 11:55am

RICHFIELD -- Richfield residents are trying to ride their way into the record books. Exactly 2,014 ATV riders took part in their annual ATV parade.

The town filed an application with the Guinness Book of World Records and will now send video proof of its parade with hopes of securing the record.

The current record is 1,632 ATVs in a parade in Minnesota.

The parade is part of the Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree, which is in its 17th year.

The ride was in memory of Mark Fullenbach, the former publisher of the Richfield Reaper and an ATV enthusiast.

The Jamboree provides guided ATV rides along the Paiute Trail.
