SALT LAKE CITY -- Adam Sandler's new movie "Funny People" opened Friday in theaters across the country. A Utah woman received a special walk-on role and an invitation to attend the premiere in Los Angeles all because of 100 words.

Shannon Larsen entered a contest on MySpace that asked people to leave a comment explaining why they should win a role in "Funny People." A few weeks later, she found herself on a plane headed to Hollywood. [CLICK HERE to read Larsen's winning entry]

"It's kind of overwhelming because it's such an awesome experience, but I think it's seeing the true side of Hollywood because there's a lot of sit-down time on the movie set," Larsen said.

During that time, Larsen received VIP treatment. She also went through wardrobe, hair and makeup and met the cast.

"Meeting the people was fabulous. I mean, they are just like people. I was just very nervous because I've never really met famous people, and they are all extremely nice," Larsen said. [CLICK HERE to see video of Larsen on the "Funny People" set]

But nicest of all? Adam Sandler.

"It was so refreshing. He was very interested in knowing about myself and my husband and joked with us. So, I would have to say Adam Sandler," Larsen said.

She also attended the Los Angeles premiere of the film last week and went to the screening and after-party.

"It was amazing. [I] got some pictures, which is always proof that I was there," Larsen said.
