SALT LAKE CITY -- Legendary pop icon Michael Jackson has died. Paramedics found Jackson after he collapsed inside his California home Thursday and rushed him to UCLA Medical Center. He arrived at the hospital in a deep coma, and was later pronounced dead. He was 50 years old.
Thursday night KSL spoke with a family friend of the Jacksons who remembers Michael for his talent and skill.

"Michael was an artist; very creative, very demanding upon himself to be the total entertainer. More than just cutting edge, he had to be the leader," Alan Osmond said.
Jackson's four-decade career began in the 1960s when he sang with his brothers in the Jackson 5. He earned the unofficial title "The King of Pop" when he rose to stardom in the 1980s and was one of the few artists to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
"I feel a little peace knowing that he's passed the test here, gone on. And I'll be they're going to have some great entertainment upstairs," Osmond said.
At the time of his death, Jackson was preparing for a 50-show comeback tour scheduled to start next month in London. The shows sold out within minutes.
