WENDOVER -- A man is dead following a rollover crash Monday morning along Interstate 80 near Wendover.

Troopers say the driver drifted off the road near milepost 36 around 4 a.m., over-corrected and rolled the Chevy Trailblazer several times landing 30 feet from the interstate. The crash killed his passenger.
Eastbound lanes were closed for 15-20 minutes while a medical helicopter landed to take the driver to the hospital. He suffered serious injuries.
The 36-year-old driver from Salt Lake County was wearing a seat belt, but troopers are still investigating whether the 31-year-old passenger from Roy was wearing a seat belt. He was ejected from the Blazer.
Troopers say it appears alcohol was involved.
