Carlos Boozer tied a franchise playoff record with 22 rebounds
and scored 23 points as the Jazz pulled within 2-1 in the series.

@Ben D. - To the country . See your responses. Post a job for a NBA coach see if their are any people wanting that position. Cant be worse than Sloan so it could be a win for everyone... Try some former Jazz players? Plenty to fill his overgrown ego and shoes. Trust me... My error playoff rings. Sorry my mistake..
Cheers
I'm asking you because you are the one that keeps begging over and over again to get rid of Sloan. I'm sure there are others, but you are quite vocal about it.
As for posting a job for the Utah job, there is no opening so it would be useless to post an opening.
As for former Jazz players, the one thing that I have noticed over the years is that most of the Jazz players don't want to become coaches. The one that comes to mind that did coach, Mark Ivaroni, didn't fare well. Tyrone Corbin is an assistant, but I don't think he's ready to be a head coach and he may never be.
As for Sloan and his so-called "overgrown ego," he's got the wins and the longevity to back up what ever ego he may have. He may not have a championship ring, but he does have control and the respect of his players, which is something that a good number of NBA coaches don't have. That to me is the main reason coaches fail in the NBA.
As for playoff rings, coaches and players don't get rings for making playoff appearances. Just FYI.
@Ben D. - I think Hornacek would be a great coach. I believe he plays a small role at jazz practices sometimes as a shooting coach, but he really has the potential to step it up.
Of course he sometimes gets airtime in broadcasting, but I think he's better suited as a coach than a commentator.
I'm not one of those thinking Sloan needs to leave, but he's going to retire someday. It's exciting and scary at the same time to think of what will be next. Just remember that change isn't neccesarily posative.
@Vinney - In speaking with Jeff Hornacek in years past, he made it sound like head coaching wasn't for him. Now, that could have changed in recent years as he does some limited coaching for the Jazz, but just the kind of guy that he is, it just doesn't seem so.
Yes, Sloan is going to retire someday and the front office will have some major decisions to make. But people calling for Sloan to get the ax with no concrete solutions for a replacement really is getting old.
@Ben D. - So we can begin too win? Please... It really is getting old. You are right. That is why we need him gone. Horny would be just fine. And understands the office politics and players needs.
@Gold Man - You actually produced a name (with help from Vinney) and some rationale!!! Way to go!!!
The biggest question for Jeff Hornacek is does he really want to be a head coach in the NBA??? I know he knows he can't go into such a venture half-hearted.
@Gold Man - You are a classic example of what is wrong with most people. You want a solution without ever putting forth any effort to solve it.
You write: "Any person would fill the slot."
Come on dipstick, I suppose you think the movie "Eddie" with Whoopie Goldberg as head coach of the New York Knicks is actually something that could happen, eh???
Given your lack of logic on this subject, it is you that needs to shut your piehole.
@Ben D. - Check your level. I think you are 4 quarts low.. Your a person who cant see the forest from the tree's. No use telling a idiot something. Cause they already no the answer's. Hope your coach and the jazz serves you well. As you fall flat on your face... Keep up the intelligent comments. You are really a smart guy. Oh, Tell sloan hi for me when your at dinner..
@FalkoN - It definitely wasn't the slow & lazy "#5" i've come accustom to. He actually worked hard! That's the only complaint i've ever had about "#5". Don't expect the same effort every time.
@JuDaKoMo - Too bad Boozer is getting all the glory. I am glad Deron hit the game winner, and not Booze. Enjoy Jazz fans cause now the Lakers are pissed off!
@vapor_trail - Anyone notice Phil Jackson the Lakers coach, was not concerned about the game at all. He knew it was slanted towards the jazz. He also knows the NBA will never allow Utah to advance past the Lakers. If it even looks like the Jazz might win the series the parade to the free throw line will commence. Last year first two games free throw stats 46 lakers 16 Jazz, whoever wins the first two games wins the series 94% of the time. If the FBI where to investigate the whole NBA, more than one ref would be in jail for fixing the game. Also remember the alomo? ahhhh spurs
I expect trolls here, but please someone give an intelegent refute, please!
@Chris H. - You first, Chris. You demand an "intelegent" (sic) refute, yet you can't even spell "intelligent." The whole "...FBI where to investigate.." diatribe just doesn't make sense, and what in tarnation is an alomo? You're new to the game of basketball, aren't you? English is your second language, isn't it?
@El Viejo - can’t even remember the horrendous ref job we got in many SA series, and you know what I meant, going after spelling is your best refute, this smells like some kind of macheeeeesmo attitude, are you a gang banger by the way? Or do you work for the NBA?
HAHAHAHAHAHhaahahahaha
@Chris H. - Nice try at deflection, Chris. Oh, I'm a Jazz fan alright, since day one of their arrival in Salt Lake. We're still waiting for an "intelegent" (sic) comment from you. Gang-banger? Actually, I'm a great grandfather with more experience playing, coaching and watching basketball than you'll ever have. Besides, most gang-bangers can't spell very well, much like you. What's with all the Ha-ha's at the end of your nonsensical deflection? Do you think you wrote something funny? What's funny is that someone gave you a "witty" vote. Have a nice evening.
@For Timmy - One game does not make a series. If the Jazz win Saturday, which I will be shocked if they do, then you would have a series. But the Jazz proved me wrong because I am amazed they didn't get swept. I guess 2-9 to end the season looks better than 1-9.
@FalkoN - All of you that have been dogging on Boozer. I am sick of it. You see where our team would be without him...looking at a sweep. We love Millsap, but he isn't Boozer. Now you are putting your feet in your mouth and I hope he keeps it up
@vapor_trail - all he really did was show us all that he can be a dominant force WHEN he chooses to. I never said he couldn't play, just that most of the time he looks like he doesn't want to. If he could really push himself to his personal limit every game (like he did last night), he could easily be one of the top 10 players in the league. As it is now, he is somewhere between useful and wasted potential.
Honestly, he looks and plays like Karl did in his last two years. Hardly ever a power move....always that 12 foot fade away. At times, he seems like he has a lack of confidence in his own abilities.
@Lex's Brother - Isn't it interesting that some posters in this story continue to criticize Boozer even after he has a solid game? Darned if he does, darned if he doesn't. Nice game, Booze. I'm glad you're thick-skinned enough to just brush off these idiotic comments. It becomes obvious that many of these goons are either just kids spouting off nonsense, or functionally illiterate self-proclaimed experts who really have very limited understanding of the game or its players (or their challenges with injuries). Good luck Saturday.
@jazz_biggest_nba_joke - Umm how can you miss a so called 428 pound girl! Were you on state street again trying to pay some girl for her services! Can you just take no for an answer!
@For Timmy - I know it's been a lang time since we have had much to be positive about. Why insult all us as Jazz fans by being jerks. It's one thing to gloat and rub it in, but another to be rude and make us all look like loosers.
Laker girl, on behalf of the inteligent Jazz fans...sorry and in your face. Jazz in 6.
@finzzfanzz - finzz, please don't attempt to speak on behalf of "inteligent" (sic) Jazz fans when you can't even spell "intelligent." What on earth is a "lang" time, and what is a "looser"? Can you spell "hipocrits" (sic)? You make yourself look like a loser (note the correct spelling), don't blame someone else.
@BillTheButcher - You not only have a spelling problem, but you obviously are oblivious to who the Lakers are? Jazz in 6? I suggest that you keep track of the NBA National Basketball Association just in case you didn't know what it was, and learn to be honest with you and others. Look, dude we make you, yeah that's right Lakers are a mack truck coming your way and you are a little beetle just on the way. So long, it was nice being in Utah for a week.
@BillTheButcher - Actually, Billy, I'm of the opinion that correct grammar, spelling and punctuation show a couple of things: (1) A respect for my native language, and (2) respect for those who may be reading what I post. If that bothers you, tough. As for sticking to the point, here's my opinion: Boozer finally had a "come-out" game after returning from his injury. D-Will is one of the best, if not the best, point guards in the NBA and does a great job of directing the offense and keeping the team in the game. I think the difference in game three was the tough, hustling play of Matt Harpring on both ends of the floor. What was the point of your post?
@El Viejo - Going after spelling is your best refute, this smells like some kind of macheeeeesmo attitude, are you a gang banger by the way? Or do you work for the NBA?
HAHAHAHAHAHhaahahahaha
Playoff game! It was ugly at times, physical at times, low scoring, close and played with attitude! Where has this team been hiding? As for Boozer, all I can say is that is how he won the hearts of Jazz fans. If he keeps it up with that type of effort and that type of aggressive play, he will once again win the hearts of Jazz fans.
Now, the sad reality. The Lakers really are the better team athletically and it will take a monumental effort for our Jazz to win four games from them. If the Jazz play physical and ugly and get some calls and no-calls it could be done, but in the end the refs will do what is necessary to keep Kobe in the playoffs. In L.A. the refs will take the Jazz out of that physical, ugly play and put the Lakers at the line.
@WoodDoIt - I don't think the Jazz have played their best yet. And they haven't played with a full roster. If Memo was playing the Jazz might be up 2-1. Instead, we are down 2-1, and here's to hoping that we can get a win on Saturday and get Okur back on Monday. Also, Deron and Carlos haven't played well on the same night yet. So as soon as they do, that will be the Jazz at their absolute best.
@PKRJP - HAHAHHAHAHA yeah Memo is an all star that could turn your team around, come on give me a break. Lakers are making you famous for a week, enjoy it. hahahahhaha
Are all of you guys already done celebrating? That sure didn't last long. You fans act like you won the championship! Let's just give you the trophy then for wining one game! Also just letting you know how the playoffs work again. You have to beat your opponent 4 times not once! Also you have to play inS couple of games on the road also. And your road record sucks! So don't celebrate like you won more than just one flipping game!
So is everyone jumping on the Boozer bandwagon again? Cause I'm confused? Jazz fans were saying he's a Looser or a softy or whatever bad you call him. Now you guys are giving him high praise! You should stick with your team through good and bad! Pau lost it for us on his free throws and Kobe didn't make his shots and you don't hear me saying trade those losers. So enjoy this win until Saturday!
428 ibs???? Come on! Come up with something better than that and more creative! Don't sell yourself short. Seriously try ask jeeves on what are some good insults seriously!
@Ken S. - What's with this 4'28? It's not my fault that I can't understand what your saying with all these misspelled words and having a ' between numbers? Talk about not being able to try insulting someone with words that don't make sense?
@lakergirl428 - GO away this for Jazz fans only!!! You are just an idiot playing to be an real ture Laker fan. Only ture Lakers fans are in LA. After reading your posts I can see something coming out. Some Psychotic behavior here.
Psychotic behavior:
reflects an inability or unwillingness to recognize and acknowledge reality and to relate with others.
Please go seek help! You might get perceptual abnormalities such as delusions, and usually occurs with bipolar disorder, personality disorder, schizophrenia, and some pervasive developmental disorders.
@Ken S. - The Jazz BEAT the Lakers!!! Let us enjoy the victory. Lsst season the lakers swept the nuggets, but not this year. Ha-Ha go back to LA you don't belong here.
@lakergirl428 - THATS WHAT I AM SAYING......ONE GAME DOESNT MEAN YOU WON THE SERIES AND BEFORE ALL OF YOU START TAKING MESS (CAUSE WE KNOW YOU ARE GOOD AT IT) YOU ARE STILL LOOSING 2-1 REMEMBER THAT!!!!!!! NEED I SAY MORE ABOUT THE LAKESHOW? BAD NIGHT...YEAH YOU GUYS WON, BUT YOU CANT BEAT LA 3 MORE TIMES....I GUARANTEE THAT
@Carlos A. - Kobe and the Lakers got swept in the playoffs by the Jazz way back in Kobe's rookie year. Defend them all you want but the fact remains that the Lakers have NEVER swept the Jazz in the playoffs and NEVER will. Just like Kobe will never win a championship without Shaq.
@Hellspun - have to go all the way back to kobe's rookie year to try and prove a point thats sad....be proud that you swept them way back when...well take our 14 titles and be happy with that
@Hellspun - You jazz fans are funny, you live in the PAST! Guess it suits you well cause your future looks BLEAK! According to your own coach, dude get OVER the past man, live in the present. Explain to me one thing? You were barking last year as well, what happened last year? YEAH NUFF SAID! Now hush!
@lakergirl428 - lakergirl428, you're right on the money....all the posts about the Jazz the other day said Boozer the loser to get rid of him he was the issue, now today they are praising him....Utahns are as hipocritical as their church...ya'll jump the fence so much nobody knows what side you're on. Either way it's always the wrong side. 1 game doesn't mean anything, the Jazz got lucky they Lakers player poorly. Anyhow Jazz fans enjoy the moment cause it won't happen again. It's rare to see a Laker team play as bad as they did last night.....amazing how they marked someone a troll here for speaking the truth....typical Jazz fans....cannot handle the truth
@Knight-Hawk - I find it funny that even though there are thousands and thousands of Jazz fans, posters assume that the same fans are calling Boozer a loser and the best player. Get a clue! When Boozer plays poorly, you'll hear from those who don't like him. When he plays well, you'll hear from those who do.
By the way, I've heard a lot about the Jazz and their crap defense. Well, their defense certainly isn't consistent, but there's a reason why Kobe had arguably his worst playoff game yet. As good a player as he is, I would have to say it had something to do with the way the Jazz defended him.
@Knight-Hawk - Do you even know the definition of a sports fan? Loyal comes to mind. Regardless if the Jazz win or lose, they will always have utah fans to back them up. So please... take your bitterness elsewhere. Maybe take out Laker girl and show her around town.
@finzzfanzz - You Moron do you even know what sports are? Of course there will be bad nights and times that you loose. Obviously you don't know sports.
@g_money - Boys are back in town!!...So give them All their props!! -Yeah, especially D-Will & Booz, but there were some other awesome plays by the rest of the team & in the end they made it happen!!--That's right, Kobe, this is OUR town!!
@jazz_biggest_nba_joke - Even CBA teams play well once in a while! The Lakers shot 36% and only lost by 2. And Kobe almost made that 3 to win it. So what the he'll does that tell you!
@lakergirl428 - the Jazz almost beat you in LA W/O Okur. Remember two wins at home dosn't give you the series just as much as one doesn't give it to us.
The task is the same now as it was before the series started, win all the home games and then win 1 game in LA.
Koby is still a baby, did you hear him whining in the 4th quarter "I want my shaq" right before he fell asleep....I mean bricked that 3 pointer?
@lakergirl428 - You put your "Lakers shot 36% and only lost by 2" spin on the game, so here's my spin:
The Jazz only shot 44% FG and 64% FT at home and the Lakers STILL couldn't beat them in SLC. Oh, and don't forget that the Jazz only scored 17 in the 2nd AND 3rd quarters.
"So what the he'll does that tell you!"
@lakergirl428 - What?!!! That wasn't even close! The ball crashed off the the upper corner of the backboard! Maybe you feel that's close when you shoot hoops.
@lakergirl428 - If I recall correctly you indicated the JAZZ win over the Lakers on February 11 was due to the fact the Lakers were with out the services of Bynum.
So allow me to throw this in your general direction. The Jazz have been without a consistent 15 to 20 point a game player (Okur) for the series thus far and the Lakers lose by 2....The way you laker fans talked the series was over before it started..
and just a side note Kobe will be eating LeBron James Jock strap if they make it that far....I don't think they will make it that far coming from the weakest division in the western conference.
Lakers the only team in the playoffs from the pathetic pacific division!!!!!
@Stockssoar - Thats what you guys said last season......hahahaha, dude get real man....one game doesn't mean that you won the championship or the series. Pathetic.
@Carlos A. - I recall Kobe and crew getting SWEPT - DID YOU HEAR ME??? SWEPT!!! by the Jazz back in Bryant's rookie year. The Lakers will NEVER sweep the Jazz in a play off series. NEVER. Pathetic indeed...
@Hellspun - seriously who gives a crap if the Jazz swepted the Lakers in whatever year it was!! Tell me this? Is it more important to you to sweep teams then to win championships? I guess so! Your title less Jazz can sweep the 14 title Lakers all they want cause all the Lakers care about is the titles!
Well, great game jazz fans. Too bad your happiness won't last that long. Lakers just had a horrible game, especially Kobe. So, Lakers are going to come out gunning on Saturday. LAKERS in 5
Oh, and by the way true laker fans are not just in LA....I live here in Utah and I bleed purple and gold for life......GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@KBERfan - hahaha funny clown, theres always one in here. Get a brain next time before you make a funny comment. I find you so hillarious man, amuse me with your witty comments.
@ColterDC - bark bark bark i thrive on your pathetic little brain, yeah thats right you maggot who the hell cares where I live I could give a rat's you know what if you don't like the Lakers. TRUTH is we make you guys famous......we LAKERS HAVE 14 CHAMPIONSHIPS....HOW MANY YOU GOT CLOWN? YEAH 0 THATS WHAT I THOUGH NOW HUSH AND GO BACK TO YOUR TRAILER
@jazz_biggest_nba_joke - wow, how old are you kid? 8 years old, cause your comment sure reflects the mentality of a lil kid, now go on and go back to watching disney channel. hahahahahhahahhahahhahahhahahah
@Carlos A. - Carlos, Carlos-your purple and gold blood is obviously from your over-use of illegal pharmaceutical products. I've just finished reading your nonsensical posts above. I'm from the LA area myself and currently live in Utah. I'm sure glad you aren't representative of true Laker fans-that would truly be an insult to them.
Wow. What a game. This is playoff basketball! This series has just turned around IMO. I took my 2 boys age 9 & 12 and for the most part it was fun. Yes, I got heckled but who cares..the game was great. My thoughts on the game... The Jazz looked good. They played with the grit they showed during the 12 game winning streak. But like I said in my previous post the bench needed to continue there strong play and did. They showed what there were made of. I am disappointed the Lakers lost but they deserved to lose this game. They showed no heart and seemed lazy as times. I hope Saturdays game is just as exciting. What a game to go too for my boys 1st NBA game! Too bad it's not a military down day on base or I would be home sleeping! What a night! Let's go again woo hoo
@Jeff - I ran my mouth that entire game! I dont care how big you are or if you are a guy or girl. Dont show up to ESA wearing that ugly yellow and purple 24 jersey or you are going to hear it from me! I am pretty surprised that I didnt get into a fight but then again the guy I was with did get called out haha Oops!
Saturday I will be doing the same thing so heres a little suggestion to all the Lakers/Kobe fans just stay home!!!!!!!
@kay1219 - Dude, I take my jersey any day, anytime, anywhere and get harassed I simply don't care. Words are just words and who cares what you think or the rest of the world. Truth is is sore losers like yourself that have to resort to violence and stupidity to make a point. I wish I had seats next to you and your eardrums would bleed from hearing me scream LAKER PRIDE for 2 hours.
That was great, I know I have ragged on Sloan alot, but he clearly out coached Jackson. Leaving Boozer out for most of the 4th while Harpring dominated, then bringing Boozer in to finish was briliant. Leaving Williams in for the entire 2nd half was awesome. Go Jazz in 6
However, there is a LOT of pressure on the NBA right now. The recession is affecting the NBA. They are struggling and many teams are in the red.
It is in the NBA's best interest for the Lakers to win the series. Personally, I feel that in the past certain teams have been given preferential treatment because they draw the largest audience and, thus, the most money. Given these economic times, don't be surprised if you see a subtle (or maybe not so subtle) slant toward LA by the NBA, commentators, and officiating crew. They REALLY want LA and Cleveland in the finals. They will draw the largest audience and the most money.
@Rick W. - LA is the best team in the West (and yes I'm a die hard Jazz fan...I'm just stating the obvious). Cleveland is the best team in the East. Assuming both play to their potential is wouldn't be shocking to see both in the Finals. A conspiracy isn't necessary. If anything they want a rematch of Boston and LA. Boston has a much better fan base but they aren't as strong as last year.
@Rick W. - Anyone notice Phil Jackson the Lakers coach, was not concerned about the game at all.
@Rick W. - Anyone with a business degree knows the #1 rule of business.
Make Money!!!
The NBA is a business just like every other business and the fact is that Stearn would probably kill over if the finals was a Jazz vs. Philly matchup.
Face the truth, hardly anyone outside of Utah is buying Jazz merchandise. So why would the NBA (business) want a team like the Jazz to go far into the playoffs when they would make a hundred times more money with an L.A/Boston/Cleveland matchup.
If you're running a business, you always "push" your customers towards the things that will make you the most money. Thus the reason Kobe/Lebron/KG are plastered all over the nba.com website.
Stearns and the rest of the national media believe that everyone wants to see either a rematch of last year's finals, or a Kobe vs. Lebron showdown.
Which is why they'll do everything in their power to make sure that happens.
While I certainly enjoy watching the Fakers lose, the NBA also wants to drag out series as much as possible (more games = more money). So they'll let some of the lower teams win a few, but in the end their goal has not changed.
Now the Jazz just need to figure out that the game of basketball is played the same outside of Utah as it is in the state. I bet they will not figure it out so they will lose the series regardless
@Russell A. - Have you ever played organized sports to notice the difference of playing at home vs playing on the road?
Two totally different situations.
Boozer was outstanding. If he plays with that kind of effort for a few more games and everyone will forget about his miserable season.
Also, I got to give props to Harpring, Korver, Miles and the rest of the bench for getting the Jazz back into the game. I also got to give Sloan some love for making some changes to the starting lineup and sticking with the bench guys when they made their run.
@Ugirl - That's all Kobe does every time he drives to the basket. Just find someone to run into and get a foul called. He's a piece of trash who relies on his Superstar treatment in order to get his points.
When the game is called fair (like last night) Kobe is just another average player.
@ColterDC - Seeing Kobe laying on the floor in SHOCK, that poor him got a charging called on himself, oh my gosh, he did look just like an average player. That was almost my favorite part of the game.
@ColterDC - I am going to enjoy making you feel like the maggot you are, handle the truth, KOBE is the BEST player in the world and all you dang haters just hate on that fact. I am looking forward to giving you a piece of my mind when we win the series. Get ready!
Not really a basketball fan but last nites game was pretty exciting. I think the Jazz looked good because the Lakers came with their arrogant "we will win" attitude. I just hate it when people promote the Lakers and their rapist leader Kobe. I think it would be funny if the Jazz did win the series. I would love to see the interview with Bryant! Priceless !!
@Kris T. - Hey dude, the rapist thing is a lil old don't you think? come on dude, admit it we have, we are and we will ALWAYS BE BETTER THAN YOU! and you are dreaming, day dreaming that is if you think you are winning this series.
the confetti at the end of the game really necessary? i am a lakers fan and give the jazz props for winning but the confetti was a little over the top. save it for the title....oh wait....since they havent ever won one i guess one playoff victory is worth it then :)
@ktrash - I AM surprised that after a simple win these jazz fans don't hold a parade in Salt Lake city.....difference is that winning for us Lakers is a way of life nothing more nothing less, winning for the jazz is heaven. Get real we make who you are jazz, like it or not, you are against DYNASTY AND PRIDE NUFF SAID!!!
@Major Jarom - didnt say i was offended just thought it was funny...thats the difference between champions and non-champions....i dont go to jazz games cause im not a fan...only if the lakers play....laker ego lol funny...and call me what you want major...its all good my friend
@ktrash - well we have to celebrate every victory cuz we don't have any championships, maybe if we ever win one then we'll save the confetti for the excitement.... Utah hasn't been lucky and big enough to get big name players, Magic, Kareem, Kobe, Shaq, heck the Lakers get who they want almost when they want.
Its NOT FAIR, i wish extremely great players wanted to live and play in UTAH....
but it was sure a fun game. I don't think I have ever seen KB shoot so poorly and I don't expect we will see that again in the series; so, the Jazz had better come with a better shooting performances from DWill and Kover. Boozer had a great game, but I am not going to get excited until he does in another game. I think AK played a great game going to the hole instead of shooting jump shots which he doesn't do very well. Sloan did the right thing in removing him when he started shooting jump shots. Take it to the hoop, make the lakers play defense and foul in the first quarter. Don't make Koby mad, make him frustrated! Dont' make Fisher mad, make him play defense. Don't make LA mad, make them play defense!!!! get the point? I think it was a team win and that is the only way the Jazz can win. Play for the team and win; play for yourself and you will get stomped. KB will come out shooting and scoring saturday, so make him work for those free throws cause he is going to get them. Give him two free throws ,not 2 points and a free throw. Attitude will win saturday and I'm going to watch and see which team brings it. I hope it is the Jazz
I'd rather loose and be a Jazz fan than win have to cheer for KB. Also, I think I would rather eat dirt than see one more "NBA cares" commercial. there are probably players who do great things and really care, but those ads are so self serving and phony, they make me gag! I agree, the charging call on KB was a priceless moment that we will probably never get to see again!!!! In that instance, I believe it was a borderline call, but so are almost every charge/block call made. Give it to the refs for showing some respect for the jazz for once. I think the only way to beat KB is to frsutrate him with ball denial. Obviously that is easier said than done, but deny him easy touches and when he does get it, he will so tired and frustrated his shot will not be so free flowing and easy. Don't double team, just harass him the whole game with everyone on the bench!
They don't have much of a shot, but the Jazz and the rest of the west needs to push the Lakers, so if the Lakers make the finals, the King and his Cavs crush them.
@Partsman - they can also LOSE to any team in the league. Remember Minnesota and Golden State at home a few weeks back?
That being said, I'm encouraged by the energy and determination the Jazz showed last night. Will they win the series? NO. But it would be great to see them take the Lakers to 6, even 7 games.
The JAZZ SUCK, they always let you down. How about a change of coaching - its tireing to almost BE THERE and then....DROP! Celts are going to take it again, anyway!
Kobe misses about 20 shots and the Lakers still almost win...this bodes well for whom? The Spazzers play well at home and blow chunks on the road. Series is still over but I guess you two facers can now thank B-loozer for winning at least one, yet will be the same dudes in a few days saying ship him outta here....
@teachem - I sure hope Boozer leaves! He doesn't deserve the crap he gets here and you don't deserve him. You rather have Milsap then Boozer? Milsap is a good player, don't get me wrong, but he had some good games but when teams prepare for him, he's screwed. You guys don't realize what's gonna happen when Boozers gone. But I'm glad he's been taking all that money! Do you honestly think your going to get players to come here?? Maybe if their really desperate to play and it's their late resort! Actually not really because I remember Glen Rice getting traded here and he decided to retire instead and D Fish gave up alot of money to get out of here and then resigned with the Lakers!
The Lakers just seem too complacent. YES they will probably beat our Jazz based on talent alone. BUT there are very hungry teams out there that are watching this series picking out the weaknesses of this Laker team. If a Jazz team without all of their players can come back and beat them what's Lebron and co. going to do to them IF the Lakers get to the finals? Personally, I don't even know if they'll get to the finals if they have to go up against Denver. Maybe the Jazz will get lucky and pull one over on them, but I've learned not to get too excited with this team as they are too unpredictable.
@Ty W. - True...Denver has looked phenomenal particularly Billups. He has made CP3 looked like an average PG at best. Denver also has some bigs who can play with the Lakers.
The jazz was 1-19 against teams with a winning percentage during the season. WHAT in your right conscious mind makes you think that you can beat the best team in the west? This is just so funny, I always enjoy talking smack to jazz fans, you know why? CAUSE I CAN BACK IT UP.....lakers are a DYNASTY

This is exactly why the Jazz have frustrated me. Great one night, terrible the next. Even if they win again Saturday, they cannot win on the road.

As always, if you think he is such a joke, please give a list of names and reasons as to who would make a suitable replacement.

Just FYI.
Peace

Of course he sometimes gets airtime in broadcasting, but I think he's better suited as a coach than a commentator.
I'm not one of those thinking Sloan needs to leave, but he's going to retire someday. It's exciting and scary at the same time to think of what will be next. Just remember that change isn't neccesarily posative.

Yes, Sloan is going to retire someday and the front office will have some major decisions to make. But people calling for Sloan to get the ax with no concrete solutions for a replacement really is getting old.

The biggest question for Jeff Hornacek is does he really want to be a head coach in the NBA??? I know he knows he can't go into such a venture half-hearted.
