SALT LAKE COUNTY -- The Salt Lake County Career Services Council has reinstated prosecutor Kent Morgan to a position at the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office.

Morgan was terminated by District Attorney Lohra Miller in March of 2008 for failing to disclose a conflict of interest.

The council said that termination was justified based upon the information Miller had at the time but new evidence disclosed by Morgan during the termination proceedings warranted his reinstatement.

The council did, however, demote Morgan to the position of line prosecutor. They also ordered that he receive back pay from the time he disclosed the new information until his reinstatement. [Click here to read more from Salt Lake County]
