(KSL News) Utah State University students charged in connection with the death of a fraternity pledge have pleaded not guilty.
The members of the Sigma Nu fraternity and Chi Omega sorority all face a misdemeanor charge of hazing in connection with the death of Michael Starks. He died of alcohol poisoning in November of last year during rush week at the school.
All will appear again in court for pretrial hearings later this month. If convicted, the students could each be sentenced to a year in jail.
