Utah's governor is getting set to unveil his proposed budget for next year, and it will include some cuts.

Gov. Jon Huntsman says, so far, Utah is faring far better than some surrounding states where they're looking at possible budget cuts in the 20 to 25 percent range.

Huntsman says they opted against holding another special session to deal with budget issues between now and the end of the year. "We'll be presenting our budget in the next couple of weeks. That will kind of be a road map of sorts, financially, in terms of how we get through these challenging times," he said.

You can expect the governor's budget proposal by early December. He says it's likely to include budget cuts in the 3 to 5 percent range.
