SALT LAKE CITY — A man is in critical condition after he crashed his scooter into a parked car and suffered head trauma, police said.
The man, in his mid-60s, was riding a privately owned, electric scooter about 1:30 p.m. Saturday when he crashed into a parked car near the intersection of 400 South and 300 West, Salt Lake police Lt. Jenn Diederich said. He had been traveling north on 300 West, she said.
A bystander performed CPR on the man before he was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Diederich said. He was in surgery as of 4:45 p.m., she added.
Diederich was not sure how fast the man was going when he crashed.
