Ogden City plans to sue the parents of half a dozen teens thought to be behind a string of vandalism cases.
The city is seeking $2,000 in damages for each of 17 acts of vandalism committed by the same group of teens over the past year.
It's a tough message from the mayor and Ogden police. Mayor Matthew Godfrey tells the Standard Examiner it will "help parents be more mindful of their kids" and that "it's appropriate."
Police say the parents know what's going on because they show up in court with their children every time.
Fourth Street Park and the Ogden City Cemetery are among the places that have been tagged multiple times.
