SALT LAKE CITY — An accident on southbound I-15 near the 3300 South exit ramp closed two lanes of traffic and caused delays of up to an hour, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

UHP officials report that a truck with two male occupants was entering the freeway on the 3300 South ramp when they were cut off by another vehicle.

The truck hit the side wall, causing the airbags to deploy. The impact of the collision caused a refrigerator the truck was carrying to roll off of the bed and into traffic, causing the closure.

Both men were transported to a local hospital to be checked for injury.

UHP has since cleared the scene.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
