SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted on outstanding felony warrants for allegedly stealing cars.

Andrew Barela, 30, is wanted for possession of a stolen vehicle. He has four outstanding felony warrants, each for $25,000.

Barela is described by police as a male Hispanic adult, 5 feet 11 inches, 165 pounds with brown hair and eyes.

Police said Barela hangs out in the Rose Park area near 800 North 900 West, 1600 W. Ivy Circle and on Talisman Drive in Salt Lake City. Barela has been seen in a stolen vehicle, police said, and has so far evaded officers by foot or car.

Police ask that no one makes contact with the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the Salt Lake Police at 801-799-3000 or by texting 274637 with keyword TIPSLCPD plus any relevant information. The case number is 14132182.
