Father of Missing BYU Student in a "Muddle"
June 8th, 2006 @ 11:25am

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) -- The father of a BYU student who's been missing for a week says he's in a "muddle," and has no idea where to turn now that authorities have called off the search.

Twenty-one-year-old Jonathan Berry was last seen by his roommates at their apartment May 31st. His friends say they thought Berry went to bed, but he wasn't there the next morning.

Berry's roommates and parents went out searching for Jonathan, after authorities found his bike in Utah's Rock Canyon, above the Provo Temple.

The Berrys and their children returned to Grand Junction, Colorado on Monday when officials halted the search.

The Provo Police Department's missing persons unit is now in charge.
