LINDON — A local bank that was robbed Friday is offering a reward for information, police say.

AmBank was robbed just after 12 p.m. May 2 and now they are offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the robbers responsible for the aggressive takeover of the bank, according to a news release.

The AmBank at 144 S. State St. in Lindon was robbed by several men who threatened and injured employees using pepper spray and a stun gun. Employees were also held at gunpoint.

Any information about the robbery should be reported to the Lindon Police Department. AmBank reported that any resident in good standing who comes forward with any tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the robbers is eligible for the reward. The qualification for payment and the amount of the reward will be based on the value of information provided.

More than one person may be eligible for the reward, but an accomplice or bounty hunter would not be eligible to collect the reward, according to the news release. However, AmBank said they reserve the right to refuse or deny a reward.

Anyone with information can contact Sgt. Josh Edwards at jedwards@lindoncity.org or Detective Tony Weinmuller at tweinmuller@lindoncity.org. They can also call 801-769-8600 during weekday business hours, or Orem City Dispatch at 801-229-7070 anytime.
