WENDOVER — A Salt Lake City man died Saturday after crashing on I-80 near Wendover.
Abraham Majok, 34, suffered an apparent head injury when he crashed his 2001 black Chevy Malibu on the side of the road. A passerby noticed the single-vehicle crash near mile post 1 and reported it around 6 a.m.
Majok may have fallen asleep at the wheel, based on skid marks left near the accident, according to Utah Highway Patrol trooper Jalaine Hawkes.
Majok was wearing a seat belt, Hawkes said. UHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
