TAYLORSVILLE — Police are searching for a man involved in a robbery Wednesday afternoon.
Unified police received reports of a robbery at the America First Credit Union at 2715 W. 5400 South around 12:50 p.m. The man entered the credit union and presented a note to the teller and demanded money, police said. The man was carrying a bag and threatened the teller with a weapon, but did not display any weapons.
The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money and the man left the credit union. He was seen leaving the scene in a silver Pontiac Montana that was in the parking lot of the credit union.
The robber was described as a polynesian male around 5 feet 6 inches and 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt with a red beanie and sunglasses. The Pontiac Montana was described as having damage on the passenger side and was missing a hubcap.
Anyone with information about the robbery should contact UPD at 385-468-9819. Police said the robber should be considered armed and dangerous.
