TAYLORSVILLE — A credit union in Taylorsville was robbed Monday morning.

Unified police said the Deseret First Credit Union located at 4645 S. 2700 West in Taylorsville was robbed around 10 a.m. Monday morning.

The robber appeared to be on foot when she entered the credit union and gave a note to the teller, police said. The note said the robber wanted money and threatened the clerk. The woman did not display any weapons or injure anyone. The clerk met the robber's demands, and gave her an undisclosed amount of money. She then fled on foot.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the robber. The robber was described as a Polynesian female, 5 feet 6 inches and around 250 pounds. She was wearing a tan jacket with a dark colored shirt underneath, a dark knit hat, white pants and white tennis shoes.

Unified police released the robber's photo to help in locating her. She is believed to be the same suspect who committed a similar robbery at the same credit union April 7.

If anyone has any information as to the identity of the robber they are asked to contact the Unified Police Department at 385-468-9814.
