PREVIOUS STORY:
MORGAN — Five teens were involved in an ATV accident Friday evening.
At about 5:30 p.m., the five teens, all between the ages of 13 and 14, were riding on an ATV Ranger on Sun Mountain Road in Morgan County when they took a sharp turn too fast and rolled the vehicle, said Sgt. Scott Peay.
None of the children were wearing helmets.
An emergency team responded quickly, and a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were airlifted to Primary Children’s Medical Center in critical condition. The boy sustained serious head injuries and was in critical condition Friday.
Another boy and girl, both 13, were taken to McKay-Dee Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Another 14-year-old boy had no injuries.
Peay said it is unclear if there was adult supervision at the time of the accident, but the children all live in the surrounding neighborhood.
More information will be posted when it becomes available.
