SALT LAKE CITY — It's a heartbreaking reality, but siblings living in foster care can't always stay together. That's why KSL 5 TV teamed up with the Adoption Exchange to introduce you to two brothers looking for one permanent home.

Josh and Chris spent Wednesday night warming up with the Jazz basketball team. But, that wasn't the only thing they were excited about. The brothers hadn't seen each other in almost a year.

"Yeah, I really miss my brother," 11-year-old Chris said.

Josh and Chris have never been to a professional basketball game, but the chance to catch up with each other is what made this night so special. They remember what it was like when they shared a home four years ago before entering the foster care system.

"It's hard because you really like the person, but then you move somewhere," Chris said.

They share a love of basketball, and despite the fact they've moved more times than they can count, they excel at the schools they attend.

"I have an 'A' in math right now," Josh said. "I either want to be a cop or a basketball player."

Lucky for these boys, there were plenty of basketball players in the house eager to meet them. One by one, members of the Utah Jazz stopped by in what might be the most polite introductions ever made on a basketball court.

Josh and Chris both offered a handshake to each player they met, followed by a "nice to meet you."

Now, with one item off their combined bucket list, they’re thinking ahead the next time they might see each other. They said they hope it’s a hunting trip with someone they can both call “dad” and at the end of a long day go home all together.

"It just seems nice to have people with you," Josh said.
