SALT LAKE CITY — A second man has been charged in connection with a white supremacist gang accused of tattooing a woman's stomach for allegedly snitching.

Samuel Raymond Craver, 30, was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault. Both charges are first-degree felonies and come with gang-enhancement penalties at sentencing if convicted.

Craver's charges come on the heels of identical charges filed in September against Robert James Calder, 39.

According to charging documents, a woman met Calder at the Mountain Shadow Apartments, 3825 S. 700 West, in November 2010. Calder arrived with six other men — all members of SAW, or Silent Aryan Warriors, a white supremacist gang that originated at the Utah State Prison.

The group accused the woman of being an FBI agent and pointed a gun at her face, according to the charges.

"They then called her a rat," the charges stated, and told her they were going to "finish her tattoos."

The men bound the woman's hands and feet, pulled down her pants, lifted her shirt and used a tattoo gun to tattoo "RATTA 100%" on her stomach, according to charging documents.

"When she cried loudly during the tattoo, someone put a sock in her mouth and duct taped it around her head," according to the charges.

The woman told investigators she was bound for eight to 10 hours. The men continuously kicked and hit her in the ribs during that time, the charges stated. The woman eventually passed out. When she came to, Calder was asleep next to her, the charges stated.

Calder has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 7. A $100,000 warrant was issued for his arrest on Tuesday because the bondsman informed the court they would no longer cover Calder, who had been released to pretrial services.

Craver, who was found guilty in November of attempting to receive a stolen vehicle, a third-degree felony, is currently in the Salt Lake County Jail awaiting to be sentenced on that case on Jan. 10.
