PRICE — Police are looking for a man who robbed a grocery store while wielding a handgun Tuesday.
Around 11:15 a.m., a man displayed a handgun and demanded money from a clerk at the Smith's Food King store located at 1075 E. Main Street in Price, police said. The clerk complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of money to the robber.
The man fled the premises, though it is unknown if he did so on foot or in a vehicle.
Price City Police Department, as well as officers from the Carbon County Sheriff's Department, Utah Highway Patrol and Wellington Police responded.
The robber is described by police as a white male in his 20s or 30s, about 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. Police said he had a beard and was wearing a navy blue hoodie, baseball cap and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.
