SALEM, Utah County — Prosecutors have determined that nothing criminal occurred between a Salem Hills High School football player and a female student.

Salem police said Monday that evidence regarding an "inappropriate comment" was presented to the Utah County Attorney's Office to review for potential criminal charges late last week. Prosecutors determined that no laws had been broken, according to the Salem Police Department.

That investigation was one of two being conducted in connection with the school's football team.

Two other Salem Hills High School football players remained suspended Monday as allegations of hazing at a football camp in Millard County are investigated. The alleged hazing incident happened in August and was brought to the attention of the Nebo School District last week.

The Millard County Sheriff's Office said the investigation related to Utah's lewdness law remained ongoing Monday.
