SANDY — A 58-year-old man was killed Sunday evening after colliding with a vehicle. He has been identified as Craig Buchi of Murray.

Buchi was riding his bicycle southbound on 700 East near 8275 South when the accident occurred.

A minivan traveling northbound made a left-hand turn into an apartment complex when the cyclist struck the rear end of the car. Buchi was taken to Alta View Hospital and pronounced dead a short while later.

Sgt. John Arnold of the Sandy Police Department said no citations have been issued and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.

Arnold said Buchi was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.
