SPANISH FORK — A high-speed chase ended Monday with the vehicle rolling off of I-15.
Officials said the car was stolen from Nephi and was reported later in Saratoga Springs when an officer noticed it.
The driver apparently fled from police at some point, thus beginning a chase that reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour, according to some reports.
The driver is said to have been weaving in and out of construction barriers on I-15 near Spanish Fork. Near Lehi, an individual exited the car and was arrested, but the chase resumed.
Later, the vehicle clipped a Utah Highway Patrol vehicle and rolled. Both the driver and the passenger are now in custody with only minor injuries.
Traffic was slowed down in the area of the crash, going down to one lane while investigators worked Monday evening.
