SALT LAKE CITY — This week's Wednesday's Child is a soon-to-be 9th grader with an affinity for English and animals.

Aschley, 14, loves to jump; as she hopped, bounced and piked around in the foam pit she smiled happily at her onlookers. However, behind that smile is a teenage girl who longs for permanency. She hopes to be adopted soon.

"Then I wouldn't miss anyone or have to leave or say goodbye," she said.

As she gets ready to start the 9th grade, she said she knows her favorite subject is English. For those wanting to get to know her, she said there's just one thing they should know.

"I care about everybody and help everybody," she said.

Aschley has a love for animals and wants to be a vet when she grows up. She would love to move into a home with animals for her to care for.

Her favorite ice cream is rocky road and her favorite colors are purple and hot pink.

Any families interested in learning more about Aschley, or adoption through foster care, can find more information on the Wednesday's Child page.
