DRAPER — What was a draw for many families with the Pass of All Passes is no longer in business and is causing confusion among pass holders.

"I was really excited. There are so many things on the pass," said Rachel Ward, a pass holder. "We'll be able to go bowling, miniature golfing."

Ward bought six Seven Peaks' Pass of All Passes for $20 each in April. The West Jordan mom was planning summer fun activities for four young kids.

"I wasn't actually excited about the waterpark aspect of it because of being pregnant," Ward said. "Sitting out in the hot sun, (I) wasn't super into that."

She said she mainly bought the passes to use at Planet Play because it's close to home. Planet Play's website still shows it's in business, but when KSL called the number they heard a different message.

The number answered as All Star Bowling and said the company bought out Planet Play. Brad Shepherd, the new owner, said his company does not partner with Seven Peaks Pass of All Passes but will continue to honor them through July 31.

In a statement, Seven Peaks said when it found out about Planet Play going out of business, executives notified Pass of Passes customers through email, website and social media. However, Ward said she didn't receive the notification about the company buyout.

Seven Peaks will refund any pass before it expires if it hasn't been used, but Ward said rather than the money, she'd wants a place for her kids to play this summer.

"I would love it if Seven Peaks stepped up and said, ‘Hey, let's work on finding a new venue that offers some or most of the same activities they had available at Planet Play,' " Ward said.

Seven Peaks has sold roughly five thousand of the 12-month passes and they the passes are usable at more than 20 locations.
