SALT LAKE CITY — The Golden State Warriors have sent Brandon Rush, Andris Biedrins and Richard Jefferson to the Jazz in a trade, according to several sources.

The Jazz will acquire the three players from the Warriors for essentially nothing. The Warriors made the move to create financial flexibility by shedding the contracts of the three players. The prize of the trade for the Jazz will be multiple draft picks, including first round picks in 2014 and 2017, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Biedrins and Jefferson are in the last year of their contract. The deals are worth $11 million and $9 million respectively. Rush is also in the last year of his deal.

According to USA Today's Sam Amick, the Jazz will send Kevin Murphy to the Warriors.

The Warriors were reportedly looking to unload money in order to land Dwight Howard. After the trade with Utah broke, other reports had the Warriors signing Andre Iguodala.

Rush will be entering his sixth year. He is a shooting guard who has been oft-injured. He is a 41 percent career 3-point shooter, but only played in two games last year due to injury.

Jefferson is in his 13th year in the NBA. Last year he averaged 3.1 points per game while playing in 56 games.

Biedrins is entering his 10th year in the NBA. Last year he started nine games and played in 53. He scored .5 points per game while playing 9.3 minutes per game.

According to David Aldridge, the Jazz will have to renounce rights to Paul Millsap to make the deal work.
