OAK CITY, Millard County — A woman killed in a car crash Thursday night has been identified as Jill Hintze, 57, of Oak City.
Hintze was driving south on state Route 125 about five miles north of Oak City just after 7 p.m. when her vehicle ran off the left side of the road and crashed into a culvert, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. It then rolled several times and came to a stop, facing west in a northbound lane.
Hintze was wearing a seat belt, but slipped out of the restraint when the vehicle flipped, police said. She was not ejected from the vehicle but received fatal injuries before coming to a stop in the cargo area at the back of her vehicle.
