SALT LAKE CITY — June 20 is National Kissing Day. So set the mood and head out somewhere romantic Thursday night.

We'll let you pick your own romantic restaurant or hotel. But if you need a romantic activity, we've got you covered.

Ensign Peak or Desolation Trail Salt Lake City Overlooks

A brief hike to a lookout is kind of the perfect opportunity to hold hands and get cute. These two are easy and moderate short trails that land you a beautiful view anytime of day. Take a small backpack picnic and enjoy the view with some food.

Liberty Park

From the Ferris wheel and swings to the waterside trail and gazebo, this beautiful park is a romantic spot in the middle of the city. Buy some tickets and enjoy the rides, or bring a slice of cake from your favorite bakery to share.

Temple Square Horse Drawn Carriage Ride

If Temple Square is your style, commit to it all the way with a horse drawn carriage ride. Split the tab and fit the couple you're on a double date with in a single carriage. Finish your walk about Temple Square and grab a free carriage, or schedule an appointment ahead of time.

Park City's Main Street or Granary Row

A stroll down Main Street in Park City gives you opportunities to look at cool shops, view beautiful art and eat delicious food. On a summer evening, watch the sunset from the top of the street and head back down to the tune of live music coming from the many restaurants and bars.

Granary Row has set up shops late into the evening for Salt Lake. Stop into the shops for a look-see, grab some food or listen to some live music at the street's neighboring venue, Kilby Court.

Big Cottonwood Canyon or City Creek Canyon

Enjoy the summer scenery up either of these canyons just out of Salt Lake (or any of the valley's adjoining canyons, for that matter) to start the evening off. If you don't have dinner reservations in town, make an evening out of it and bring food to cook over the fire. Don't forget the s'mores — get the good chocolate. You won't regret it.
