SALT LAKE CITY — In this Sunday Edition, Utah's immigrant youth speak out in favor of immigration reform and we'll get their take on the debate in Washington. Plus, a Utah community unites to unplug and turn on life. See how the program is helping kids enjoy unique summer activities. And in honor of Father's Day a closer look at their important roles and a special tribute.

Segment One

They're talking about bipartisan immigration reform in Washington these days. The so-called "Gang of 8" bill is packed with provisions. But it is still a work in progress. We discuss some of the specifics of the Senate's Gang of 8 Bill with immigration attorney Tim Wheelwright and Utah Tea Party founder David Kirkham. We'll also take a closer look at the results of a new poll that reveals most Utahns seem to think the time to hammer out a compromise is now.

Segment Two

As the U.S. Senate begins debate on immigration reform, immigrant youth with the Salt Lake Dream Team are holding nightly vigils outside Senator Hatch's Salt Lake City office. Dreamers are calling on Senator Hatch to be a champion on immigration reform that keeps families together and reunites those who've been divided by deportation.

Segment Three

One Utah community is trying to curb screen time and has rallied together to unplug. "Heber Valley Unplugged: Turn Life On Challenge" began the end of May, just in time for schoolchildren to start planning their summer activities. The program encourages kids to turn off their electronic devices and get involved in more active activities. We discuss the program with Erik Rowland, the Heber City Council member who came up with the idea.

Doug Wright's Opinion

Following last week's news of the National Security Agency's snooping on Americans, and the role of Utah's Data Center in storing private emails and phone records, the NSA has been the hot topic on talk radio across the country. Doug Wright takesd a little time out from his radio show to travel out to Bluffdale and offer us his opinion.
