SALT LAKE CITY — Multiple Utah towns show free movies at local parks throughout the summer. Most start later in the summer, but here are a few being shown this weekend.
"Beetlejuice"
Salt Lake City is showing a free movie in parks throughout the city for seven weeks, starting Friday. This week's Friday Night Flicks showing is "Beetlejuice" and begins at about 9 p.m. at Liberty Park, 700 E. 1000 South.
Community booths open at 8 p.m. The movies are shown on a giant inflatable screen, and popcorn is free until it runs out.
"Ferris Bueller's Day Off"

Snowbird will show a free movie every Friday night until Aug. 16. This week's showing is "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" at 8:30 p.m. on the Plaza Deck at Snowbird Center. "Bend it Like Beckham"
Millcreek is holding Millcreek Movie Nights every Friday through the end of August. Live music starts at 7 p.m. and movies begin at dusk.
This week's showing is "Bend it Like Beckham" at Canyon Rim Park, located at 2900 E. 3100 South. Live music will be provided by Swagger.
