OGDEN — For the second time in less than two weeks, an Ogden man was jailed for investigation of a violent attack.

Marcus Pringle, 32, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder April 12 after police say he shot a man who had asked him to leave a house party near the intersection of 31st Street and Jefferson Avenue. The homeowner's injuries were not life-threatening.

Pringle was able to bail out of jail. But on Monday, he was arrested again because of a separate investigation that started in January.

Ogden police believe Pringle slashed a man with a razor blade during a fight on Jan. 25. The victim in that incident suffered minor injuries. Pringle was arrested Monday for investigation of aggravated assault.

Pringle was also sentenced to the Utah State Prison in 2002 after being found guilty of illegal purchase or possession a dangerous weapon, a second-degree felony, and firing a weapon from a vehicle, a third-degree felony, according to court records.
