ZION NATIONAL PARK — Monday marks the beginning of National Park Week and Zion National Park will join the celebration.

The National Park Service is waiving park entrance fees Monday through Friday, April 22-26. During the week, Zion will expand its ranger programming to include morning shuttle talks and evening programs at the lodge and campground. Ranger-led talks and walks will also be offered.

Zion Discovery Day will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Located at the park’s Nature Center, the event will be sponsored by the Zion National Park Foundation, the park’s fundraising partner.

The event will include traditional music, art demonstrations, children’s activities and information on park resources. There will also be a series of silent auctions and a membership drive to support the foundation. Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket, picnic lunch and a reusable water bottle.

For information, visit the park website at www.nps.gov/zion.
