EAGLE CANYON, Emery County — A missing Wisconsin man has been found dead in Eagle Canyon, in Emery County.
The Emery County Sheriff's Office received a call at 8:02 p.m. Saturday reporting that a Utah Highway Patrol trooper had found an abandoned vehicle on I-70 in Eagle Canyon. The car was found to belong to a missing person from out of state, according to the office.
The trooper said he could see an unresponsive body at the bottom of the canyon, about 300 feet below. The Emery County Sheriff's Office and a search and rescue team recovered the body and turned it over to the state medical examiner.
The Twin Cities Pioneer Press reported the body has been identified as Donovan Campbell, a 19-year-old who has been missing from River Falls, Wisc., since April 5.
There were marks where he slipped.

River Falls police told the paper the family filed a missing persons report on April 8. Reports said Campbell was believed to suffer from depression, but Campbell's grandfather said police told him the fall appeared to be an accident.
"There were marks where he slipped," Dean Campbell told the Pioneer Press. "He was trying to grab on."
Campbell was known to have enjoyed spending time in Eagle Canyon as a child.
Friends and acquaintances said Campbell was quiet, but a hard worker, studious and nice to others.
River Falls police reported Campbell's truck was headed east on I-70. They referred all other questions to the Emery County Sheriff's Office, which declined to release further details as of Monday afternoon.
