MOAB — Two teenagers have been taken into custody for investigation of homicide after a man was found dead on the outskirts of Moab.

Gregorio Salazar Compos, 33, was found dead Saturday at an undisclosed location. Compos had been missing since March 29 when his sister reported to police that he had not shown up for work, according to Grand County Sheriff Steven White.

After following up on several leads, during the missing persons investigation, the sheriff's office was able to locate Compos' remains, White said.

Further investigation led police to the two teenage boys. Each is being investigated for homicide and are in police custody.

Few other details were available because the death is still under investigation. Police are still following up with family and witnesses, according to White.

"As to how all this plays out, we're still working on all that," White said.

The cause of death has not been released due to the ongoing investigation.

More information will be posted when it becomes available.
