SALT LAKE CITY — There are those with mixed feelings about Bill Walton: He can sometimes be a little out there, for sure, he isn't the perfect announcer and he's done more things than most BYU students combined will ever do. But get him in front of a microphone for a BYU game and people will react.

First off, the guy loves Utah in general — always has been a big fan of Jerry Sloan. His reaction when Sloan retired was classic. Since there aren't videos for the entirety of his funny remarks, a Twitter recap will have to do.

There were plenty of good lines, and knowing Walton, lots of bad ones. But here is a small Twitter sample of the Bill Walton show. Let's get this started with KSL's Tom Kirkland, and then move to Jamal Crawford of the Clippers.

Among Walton's best lines calling the #BYU NIT game last night "If we spent time correcting me, we'd never get past the open!"I did lol! — Tom Kirkland (@tksportsbeat) March 26, 2013

Bill Walton is calling the game, quoting Brigham Young and giving a civil rights history lesson. Is there anything the man can't do?! #BYU — Lakia Holmes (@lakia4) March 26, 2013

**Catching up on big Jazz dunks:**

The Jazz aren't known as "Dunk City" or "Lob City" right now, but the prevailing nickname is "Swat Lake City." However, that doesn't mean they can't put together some highlights on offense.

The Jazz had two simply enjoyable big dunks happen that are worth another look or two. One is by the big, young Derrick Favors and the other is by the "Human Pogo Stick" Jeremy Evans. They weren't the greatest dunks of all time, even for either one of these players, but they are still worth a few watches.

The first one to look at will be the Favors dunk: it got a lot of praise and talk over the weekend, and it was well deserved. It was probably the dunk of the weekend and one that Matt Bonner will remember, or try to forget, for a long time.

It's starts on transition from a steal by Enes Kanter. Mo Williams gets the ball and starts it down the court. Two Spurs players come over to stop Williams down the court, but he slips it behind them to a streaking Favors who leaps out of the gym and into Bonner's nightmares to throw down a two-handed dunk.

The next starts out with Jamaal Tinsley channeling his Mel Mel the Abuser days in a set play. The Jazz are up by a lot at the end of the game at home against the 76ers, and Tinsley is running the show. The famous pick-and-roll is run with Evans rolling.

Two 76ers players go with Tinsley, who goes behind the back to the rolling Evans, jumping from a ways out. The low angle video doesn't give it quite the justice it needs. He starts his jump one step in from the free throw line, right at the circle, and elevates big. This would have been a lot bigger of a dunk had Lavoy Allen not made a business decision to stay out of Evans' way (of course no player wants to be posterized).

Favors probably had the bigger dunk, but Tinsley's pass made Evans' dunk more interesting. Which full play was best: Williams to Favors or Tinsley to Evans?

Going out on top:

There should be a certain amount of fanfare when anyone retires. Normally it is when that person is 60-70 and they are ready to slip away into their rest and enjoy their remaining years. When it is a professional athlete, there are people that will be sad to see them go and want to wish them well.

When you are Anthony Adams, who played in the NFL for nine years with the Bears and 49ers, you want to have a bit of a party when you retire. Unfortunately for Adams, his plans didn't go as well as he wanted them to.

He announced his retirement using a YouTube video to show off what he had done in his career and planned to hold a press conference at a fancy restaurant. He started making some calls and got his agent working.

He ends up at the "Whit Caselle" after calling all the major sports and news outlets to have him show up. It didn't go quite as well as he had planned, but it worked out well for all who get to watch this.

If anyone else got to retire this way it would be fantastic. Watch it all to see how it ends and enjoy a small glimpse into the life of a man with a sense of humor, and a man that will enjoy his life, if this is any indication on how he will live.
