SALT LAKE CITY — Police are on the lookout for a man who robbed an LDS-themed religious bookstore Monday afternoon.

The man walked into the Seagull Book at 1140 E. Brickyard Rd. just before 2 p.m. After approaching the clerk, he demanded money, using the threat of a weapon.

The clerk obeyed the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The man then fled on foot and has not yet been found.

Police describe him as a Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s. He has brown hair and a goatee. He was also wearing glasses at the time of the incident. He is approximately 180 pounds and about 6 feet tall.

He was wearing a dark jacket, jeans, and a baseball cap with the letters TCU on it, as well as a one-strap bookbag.

Anyone with information can call Salt Lake police at 801-799-3000.
