SOUTH SALT LAKE CITY — Police issued an Endangered Person alert Thursday for a South Salt Lake man who had been missing for more than 24 hours.

Benjamin Thomas Hyde, 35, has been missing since 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to a press release sent by the South Salt Lake Police Department. Detectives are concerned for his welfare because he has physical and mental disabilities.

Hyde is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair and was last seen wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and dark pants.

Police said Hyde frequents the area of 3300 South, from 800 West to Redwood Road.
