SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police arrested a man on Monday who is a suspect in an Idaho murder case.

Police received an anonymous tip that the male suspect and an accomplice were staying at a Motel 6 in Salt Lake City. Officers found the suspect's car in the motel parking lot, and arrested the suspect after searching his motel room. Police could not find the suspect's male accomplice.

Detective Rick Wall said the man went willingly after police arrested him.

The two men had warrants for their arrest after they abandoned a man at a local hospital in Gooding, Idaho Sunday night. The victim had several stab wounds, and died from the injuries despite medical assistance.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
